The School Transport Section is responsible for processing, organising and arranging home to school transport. The Section process school transport applications for Alternative Education Learners aged between 14 - 16 years under both the statutory and low-income transport policies. If a student is eligible for assistance with transport, an appropriate public service bus pass will be issued. If a student is not eligible for assistance, parents/carers can supply supplementary information with their original application for further consideration by the Transport Review Panel.
The services travelling to all the mainstream schools in the borough are arranged by Merseytravel. The School Transport Section only hold information about the route numbers and where the services starts and terminates. To obtain a full route schedule, information is available from the School Services Section in Merseytravel, on 0151 330 1342 or alternatively on the Merseytravel Website.
